Station adoption

Mike George gardening at Hinckley StationStation adoption is a way for people to help look after and improve their local railway station.

Most adopters are part of a ‘friends of’ group and they do things like gardening, litter-picking and other activities in and around the station.

Each member of Friends of Hinckley Station has joined East Midlands Trains’ station adoption scheme by completing an application form and providing an ID picture. The EMT community rail manager visited us at the station to explain the health and safety rules, and brought our ID cards and hi-viz vests, and we are now officially adopters!
