Would you like to support Friends of Hinckley Station? Here’s how you can…
Give your time
We need more local people to join us for our work at the station – gardening, watering, looking after the bird feeders, litter-picking, looking after a book swap box and more.
Give some stuff
You can help by giving any of these:
- a garden gift voucher
- a Wilko gift card
- a bag of Slug Gone slug repellent wool pellets
- plants grown without peat or pesticides
- wild bird food
If you can give us any of these please email info@hinckleystation.org.uk.
Give some money
We are all volunteers and don’t get paid, but we need a little money to pay for things like printing, materials, supplies and tools. Any amount will help, so if you would like to help please make a donation now.
Deliver posters or leaflets
Could you deliver some leaflets in the local area, or put up some posters?
Sponsor us
More than 6,000 passenger journeys start or finish at Hinckley Station every week (Office of Rail and Road Statistics) so it’s a great place to promote your local business by sponsoring Friends of Hinckley Station.
In addition to the benefits associated with specific sponsorship opportunities you get coverage in our newsletter, on our website and on Twitter.
Platform planters
Starting this summer we’ll have planters on Platform Two. They will be made from reclaimed timber and filled with wildlife-friendly and pesticide-free plants in peat-free compost.
For a donation of £50 they will have your business details prominently displayed and will be maintained and replanted for a whole year.
Sorry, all our planters have been sponsored for this year.
Other sponsorship
We are working on other sponsorship packages, including a bookshelf and a kids’ play box. If you would like to sponsor any specific activities or make a regular contribution, please email us.
